3.6 Making with Clay

Year 4 students have been working on amazing ceramic works inspired by nature and sports.

The first workshop focused on producing 3D models of real or imaginary flowers or sports inspired containers, as some of the children wanted to combine nature and sports and the final works will introduce a little handmade surprise inside them!

The students work alongside a professional ceramicist and learnt and used techniques such as pinching and slabs to produce their pieces. They also used underglazes to apply colour on their final work.
