1.3 Half Term Family Walk

This week is half term holiday so we organised to do a family friendly event, walking to the QE Olympic Park from the Bromley by Bow Centre. Although we had a small turn out, it was a fantastic opportunity to walk a potential route for the first art trail. It gave us time to think about exactly what sort of route we wanted to find and what we might want it to go past, as well as precisely where in the Olympic Park it might be good to get to.

For ou journey we had packed supplies of treats and snacks, a camera and note pad for recording what we found and ideas inspired by our journey, and, importantly, we also had a big map, at a good close up scale that allowed us to mark the exact route we took.

It was a beautiful day and a great circular walk. Quite a way for some of the youngest members of the party! We found loads of great things that connected back to the previous two sessions, we found some really cool things to do at the Olympic Park and some beautiful and exciting places along the canals on the way there.
